Course Content

Special effects makeup, or SFX makeup, is the art of using prosthetics, makeup and other materuals to create illusions that appear to be real on the camera. With the help of this form of make-up artistry, filmmakers are able to achieve realistic effects that range from creating iconic superheroes like Iron Man to bringing monsters like Godzilla to life. In addition to films, special effects makeup can also be used in theatre productions, television shows and more.
