Course Content

• Students learn the foundation of dramaturgy, e.g. text analysis, stage structure and character structure. • The students explore screenwriting through practical writing exercises and analyze films based on narrative structure - will, motivation, conflict. • The students learn how to write a synopsis and standard design of film scripts. • The course includes the writing of two short film scripts under supervision of teachers as well as seminars by established screenwriters.

Assessment

The knowledge is assessed through the teacher's continuous supervision. Evaluation of all exercises and productions after completion. The course consists mainly of practical and concrete writing exercises.
